US Election: 1 in 7 Americans Will Vote for Most Pro-Crypto Candidate

Crypto is politics. Less than two weeks before a historic election that promises to be very close, the pressure group Digital camera conducted a survey of American voters to find out the motivation for their vote and the importance of cryptocurrencies for their future choice. In a country torn between the Democrats of Kamala Harris and the Republicans of Donald Trump, the Web3 industry is looking for a consensus to secure some form of victory come the November 5 election, and it is starting to bear fruit.

A look back at a survey that confirms the importance of the economic and industry issues surrounding the booming sector.

The Digital Chamber conducted a study two months before the presidential election…

The first word on the methodology of the study carried out by the specialist XandY between September 12 and 17, 2024 with the first block of 1,000 people residing in UNITED STATES that is, and a second out of 500 people who own or have owned cryptocurrencies.

The first lesson is about what the authors say “cryptoblock”that is, people who consider this topic to be “important” Or “very important” in determining their vote and who therefore think they will vote for the most pro-crypto candidate. These voters represent 16% of those polled, or 1 in 7 Americans, and they are both Democrats and Republicans.

This fact is also confirmed by the following question, which asked the respondents if they would be “impaired” pro-crypto positions among the candidates, and in the vast majority of them the answer is no (91% among democrats and 87% in between Republicans). Let us now turn to the very American problem of taking into account the minority to which the electorate belongs, and that is these electors Black people » who believe that the crypto question is “important” Or “very important” with 40% favorable responses. They follow them Other minorities » i.e. with 28%. Asians » with 22% and White » with 13%.

Democrats and Republicans have understood the importance of cryptocurrency in society and therefore made Bitcoin & Co almost the centerpiece of their campaign.
Cryptocurrency has become a major topic of the presidential election in a matter of months

…and the results show increased voter interest in cryptocurrencies

The answers to the following question will rather make us laugh because we asked electorate which of the two candidates would “sector best support” if elected and supporters democrats I think it will be Kamala Harris as voters Republicans They think it will be Donald Trump! Everyone sticks to their positions and thinks their candidate is “best placed to support industry”which by the way shows that communicators have done their job well in this area.

They were then asked if the president and Congress should support it crypto and the answer is yes on both sides: 1 in 3 Democrats and 1 in 4 Republicans believe it’s a priority “high level” Or “very high”. Now comes the question of priorities policy follow in the country when it comes to cryptocurrencies and by far the most important topic for respondents is “fraud and fraud prevention” 56% of respondents found this out “very important”follows “prevention of illegal activities” (48%).

Finally, the penultimate question asks participants to choose whether it is better to have such a policy “protects consumers” or a policy which “encourages innovation and growth” and the Americans logically replied: both, my captain! About which voters trust the government the most “make the right decisions” when it comes to the industry, the most optimistic are among those surveyed who know the industry and the challenges of cryptocurrencies best. So, when you’re in business, you know that Web3-friendly US policy is only a matter of time!
